The 'power' nobody heard of?

If Valery Jarrett is supposedly some real influential super-power within the White House, why the hell is it that nobody (even among Democrats) have even really heard of her until this likely fake 'hell to pay' quote suddenly starting making the right-wing blogosphere?

Yeah, but guys, I've got neighbors who actually believe all that. Plus, of course, that he broke all the promises he made during 2008.

I have a mother-in-law who believes all of that. I've been quietly avoiding her until after the election, and possibly for a while after that.
