WTF, CNN? : Dispatches from the Culture Wars:
There was a massive fish kill in Arkansas recently. Then there was a bizarre event where more than a thousand blackbirds fell from the sky in that same state. So who does CNN bring on to discuss this, wildlife biologists? Scientists with an expertise in migration patterns or life cycles of fish and birds? Nope. They bring on Kirk Cameron.

To his credit, even Cameron himself says, almost immediately, that they ought to be talking to a veterinarian rather than to him.

Ah. Kirk Cameron acted in Left Behind. Commenters in the link are wondering if maybe Cooper chose him as someone the usually irrational might listen to if he's rational for a change..

Yeah, Cameron's big on the "apocalypse is coming next week" thing, and preaches creationism and anti-science (anti-evolution) regularly.

Yee gods. The spokesperson for the end times is a guy who acted in an endtimes movie? I'll remember that the next time creation "science" comes up. Images of a debate between him and the sixth grader who played a molecule in the school play.
