...at the pig-headed discrimination (whether intentional or accidental through technical ignorance) against ".info" addresses by companies.

But can you still get to eBay?

nothing is stopping me getting *to* places (except work blocking facebook and myspace). it's only registration systems that have the problem. ebay and paypal are not among them and have never had a issue.

the three i've hit so far:

Panda's Thumb: automatically discards (without notice) any comment I post if I use my .info domain. The jackass webmaster's answer: "no .info domain exists that isn't a spam source". *bullshit* -- It was for this reason that I bought aboutjwsinfo.com in the first place as a mirror for aboutjws.info.

Outback Steakhouse's online ordering: a simple mistake from the programmers of the site, blocking it at the javascript level. The guys actually didn't know .info was a valid top-level domain (TLD). they actually fixed it within a week.

The beauty of today that pissed me off: Borders.

Borders Rewards accepts my .info address and has no problem sending me it's coupons on a regular basis. Borders the online store allowed me to register my .info address as my address to log in. All of that works just fine. The problem: when I place an order on Borders that there's a *second* email address entry in the form for sending tracking notices to, and that's the part of the form that won't take a .info, AND the jackasses at Borders say that's intentional.

A little fucking consistency, people...I'm too old for this shit...
