sigh...lousy AT40 today...

November, 1980.  i'm really not in the mood to make fun of late-era disco, cross-over country, and cheezy ballads for the sake of the one or two early new wave hits that might be tucked in there.  so i won't.  this post covers a month later, December '80, and gives you a hint of the kind of thing playing at the time like last week's #1, "Woman in Love" by Barbara Streisand.  My prediction is  that this week would be the one where Kenny Rogers' Lady would hit number 1.
