Jimmy Carter to endorse Obama - Yahoo! News:
ATLANTA (Reuters) - Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter will endorse Sen. Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee for president when polls close in two primaries later on Tuesday, the Carter Center in Atlanta said.
The degree to which the superdelegate race has been the same as sports "fans" picking their World Series favorite in September has, at times, really digusted me.

You sure as hell can't win a dime off the Kentucky Derby by backing the winning horse the day after the race...

Awww... c'mon! The guy is going to be 84 years old this year, and keeps a calendar more full than either you or me. Well... at least me!

To quote President Carter: "Unless both sides win, no agreement can be permanent."

I am happy to see the superdelegates (of whom Jimmy Carter is one) are attempting to close the door to the potential of this squabble going forward to the Convention. The Convention should be spent rallying strategy and strength around the Democratic candidate; not squabbling-winning/losing-nursing bitter wounds. It was not inappropriate to see how some of this played out, and it is now appropriate to pick a candidate. This isn't ONE person's vote, this is a representative vote of the constituency they represent.
