I just got an offer for "double miles" when I use my airline-rewards credit card (not naming names online) at particular restaurants, and those three happen to be...

• Bennigans
• Ponderosa
• Steak and Ale

*sigh*

I'd eat at all three...if any still existed in the DC area.  All but 3 Bennigans in DC have disappeared in the last 4 years, including the one in Fair Oaks mall (there's not a decent mid-range place in that mall left except maybe Uno), Ponderosa has NEVER been here (and all the ones I knew including the one I used to work at down in the Shenandoah Valley are gone), and the last Steak and Ale is now a commuter parking lot in Alexandria off 395.

So, well, yeah, the offer kinda is useless to me...

Landmark's has been gone for 9 years now.

I know Springfield's still there (of the 4 in DC (not 3, sorry), 2 are in VA - Springfield and 7 Corners), but it's not exactly convenient to someone living in Sterling and working in Fairfax...

Kinda like Verizon's offers to sell me FiOS...the one time a human asked me if I wanted it, I pointed out that they had already sold it to me, and I'd had it for several months, and made a few service calls on it already.

Maybe you need to practice with 3LF again, since there is a Bennigans up by college park.

The only Ponderosa I knew in the area was the one in Leesburg, and that's gone. The next closest one I know of is out by Frostburg.

This reminds me of all the Sonic ads I see on TV. I keep wondering where all these Sonics are in the area, since I've never seen one.

Virginia Bennigans - 5, one in Falls Church and one in Springfield.

Maryland Bennigans - 6, including Rockville, Greenbelt, Laurel, and Glen Burnie.

Looks like there are none in actual DC.

Steak and Ale... closest is Baltimore.
Ponderosa, though - Cumberland MD, Ashland, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, and Woodstock. Where the heck is Woodstock, VA?

I agree! Sonic commericals are annoying because the nearest one is 50 miles south, in Fredricksburg! **grr**

*sigh* I guess I just have to hope that the reason they're spending all those advertising dollars is that they're thinking of putting one in the DC-MD-VA area, and want to prime the market and/or test the favorable response rate.

it always suprised me out that area has a Bennigans, a TIGF, and a Ruby Tuesdays, since to the typical outsider, they're kinda just the same thing. :)

Well, poo. We used to have Bennigan's here in Raleigh. But they're gone according to the website. I'd say save it until you get to NC but no luck. Maybe you can use it when you travel to/from faire?

You can hardly spit for hitting a Bennigans up here; up north of DC is lousy with them.
