[...] I've got to say that there's something very fundamentalist christian about the idea of writing an incredibly self-centered text about how self-centeredness is the root of all evil; I've never seen any group of people so likely to engage in this kind of blatant hypocrisy about self-centeredness. Other people are always wrong when they're doing something self-centered - but when the Real True Christian does it, they're not being self-centered, they're just doing what God wants.
