science wins in ohio, kansas

In both Ohio and Kansas, school board elections were held today.  It appears that all 4 Ohio Board of Ed candidates who ran on a pro-science, anti-ID platform have won.  Ohio’s strongest ID proponent, Deborah Owens-Fink, lost to pro-science challenger Tom Sawyer. Fink mustered only 29% of the vote.  In Kansas, the Republicans won most of their races, but thanks to the primary victories, all but 2 of those running were pro-science.

Yay! (But on a completely different note, I imagine poor Mr. Sawyer is Very Tired of the Mark Twain jokes. Some parents are cruel.)
