I've maintained an internal intranet site for my company, mostly out of my own needs and my desire to experiment with new (well, it was new at the time) server-side things like php, msql, jserv (the predecessor to jakarta tomcat). Seemed rather popular for a while, but I'm realizing its usefulness to anybody but myself has pretty much passed.

The company made me upgrade the web server for the standard "security" reasons (the infamous "buffer overflow" that is present in pretty much every piece of net software on the planet), and that broke the jserv module that was running the front page. Therefore, I'm going to have to take the whole thing down and build up a new service that's mostly just for myself.
