the great renfaire question of 2006...

Given all of the "Jack Sparrows" we've had from 2002-2005 at our various faires (2004 peaked with 13 different Sparrows sighted at MDRF), will anybody actually be crazy enough to try to do "Davy Jones", tentacle-beard and all?

and will any of them do it well?

Yes, of course. How well... depends on what costume junkie does the costume. I'm betting that we'll end up seeing one mask by the end... Halloween stuff will have been out for a while by then, and you *know* that's going to be marketed this year.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that no one even attempts to try this - I've repeated screamed that while we wear funny clothes at faire, it's not a costume party or halloween. We wear period clothing... not costumes.
