if the neo-cons keep ranting against science the won't be any scientist to build the technology to move forward, other countries with more liberal acceptance of science (evolution, cosmology, etc.) will advance faster (medically, and in every other technical aspect) due to a lack of scientific foundations in this country due to neo-cons. and it's already happening.
