November 5 will be the 400th anniversary of Guy Fawkes' failed attempt to blow up Parliament.

as I echoed from a slashdot comment 2 years ago, "He has been the only person to go the parliament with honest intentions".

(and i'll be at faire on that day!)

first weekend in november is a traditional trip to the Carolina Renaissance Festival outside Charlotte for a few of us MD types.

Oh, to be in England... Guy Fawkes' night in England during my college semester abroad is still one of my fondest memories.
