Anyone who was "self-taught" to do what they do was therefore taught to do what they do by someone who didn't know what they were doing.

Then again, I've had more than a couple opportunities to teach others skills I myself didn't know before I started teaching them. So they too were taught by someone who didn't know what sie was doing. But, at least those times it's been tested, I seem to be have some sort of curious knack for this: they did learn, and when we were done, they knew what they were doing.

(Though I must admit, it always feels really strange to be in the middle of teaching something I don't already know, suddenly realize that fact, and realize that it's going very well despite that.)

No, I don't think I can do this with any random skill. Just sayin' that it's happened a few times.
