hide the damn thing in an lj-cut tag, fix the html with the broken table tag, or just kill the fucker 'cause you have SO screwed up my layout i can't read a fucking thing.

Snerk ... it doesn't seem to be murdering the browser I am currently using the way most large graphics usually do. Welcome to my world.

However, that said, it is a good idea to cut tables AND graphics since they can do ugly things to some browsers.

Hmmm. Want to give us a hint about which tag is broken? I went and looked and didn't see anything wrong. Nor has this messed up my layout.

its missing the </table> tag to close the table properly.

Here are the ending tags, as copied from the meme. Other than changing the angle bracket tags to square brackets (since using the < one's in sequence makes LJ hide them in the comment).

0% Midwestern

[div align="center"]

The end.table tag is there.

Maybe it's that extra TR before the /table that's doing it?

It is the final < tr >.

I have to say this seems a little bit of an over reaction. I'm sure most folks (myself included) had no idea the inconvenience this caused you. Your request's wording actually made me (in my passive agressive nature) want to add glitches. Just a little request for realizing that we're not all out to get you and a more politely phrased request might have been better received. Don't mean to be preachy or flaming or anything like that. Just thought I'd respect you enough to come to you with how I felt about this.

the first one or two and i was mildly frustrated.

by the time it got to 4 in a row, i was annoyed. partly that also came from dealing with my own html hassles with an oddball case (table->div tag with absolute positioning->table) that BOTH browsers (Mozilla and IE) screwed up on in exactly the same way (given that their table code is from different code bases, that shouldn't be possible).

by 4 in a row (out of 8 in a row, the first four were in lj-cuts because they had already seen the layout screwup) that was that.

i'm not a meme fan in the slightest. i find them boring, tedious, noise that greatly reduces the signal to noise ratio in ways that the rush "temples of syrinx" email list couldn't dream of reaching...ok, i guess you had to be there to get THAT reference ;-) .

i'd rather read what people think of themselves in their own words rather than filtered through what some 15 year old kid hacked up in perl in a fit of overnight boredom.
