acroyearlike this..., all I have to say is that I used to be apathetically moderate...or moderately apathetic.
Now, I can't afford that luxury anymore.
Truth be told, NOBODY can. Its that simple. There is simply too much going on, too many decisions to be made in the next few years, that will directly affect the rest of your life that you simply can not afford to not care.

Earlier this year, I had a four hour long conversation with someone about who we were voting for... He was voting for the opposite side. And quite honestly, I enjoyed the whole conversation... I have never had such a pleasant and rationally-minded discourse with someone about the opposing side before... He and I walked away still believing as we did... But understanding better why the other side believed as they did.
I LOVE being able to have rational and reasonable debate with someone about something I firmly believe in... Because while I believe the way I do, there is nothing wrong with changing your mind if given ALL of the information... Provided you're getting the information.
People a thousand years ago had issues with thinking the world was flat. They just didn't have all the facts. I'm willing to believe the world is round OR flat... Just tell me WHY. Once I put the facts together, I can determine the world is round for myself.
