warming up for the weekend...

Watching pirate films. Tonight: the Disney Treasure Island from 1950, with a very young Bobby Driscoll (later to be the first-ever male actor to play Peter Pan, albiet in voice only).

lined up for eventual viewing: Pirates of the Caribean, Cutthroat Island, Treasure Planet, Goonies, and the two Peter Pan films from Disney, with possible viewing of Hook as well, we'll see.

On my last trip through the video store, I almost bought Captain Blood, The Sea Hawk and The Crimson Pirate on impulse. The bank account stopped me. :)

The reality is though...I just love Goonies, any way you slice it.

I sometimes tell people that while some people have kids to buy toys, I just buy them for myself. I'm sure that Java can testify to THAT. I love the kid vids and am currently watching the SchoolHouse Rock collection prices very carefully. GRIN
