1. Why 'acroyear70'?

"Acroyear" is a micronaut character from the toy/comic line back in the late '70s.  The character in the comic form was pretty cool, so I grabbed it as my "internet name" back in '89 and have kept using it ever since.

[livejournal.com profile] acroyear however, was already taken...and damned annoyingly by someone who doesn't even use the account.  No postings, no friends, no nothing.  Never has used it since I saw that it was taken.

So I added "70" as my birth year to it to get mine.

2. Would you sunbathe nude if you were reasonably certain only Cyd would see you?

No, but simply because I don't sunbathe.  Period.  I burn in seconds on my face, which has seen the sun almost every day of my life.  The last thing I'd ever do is expose "down there" to the sun and get it burned.

3. Tell us all about the time you...

Someone probably needs to remind me what it was, 'cause I don't think I remember it...

4. We need a joke. You have an oldie from around the 4th grade. Tell it.

Towards the end of the school day, the teacher would ask one final question, and whomever raised their hand and answered it first would get to leave school 5 minutes earlier than the rest of the class.  Naturally, all the kids tried, but Jimmy never managed to be able to answer the question right and got increasingly annoyed at not being as good as the other kids.

So after about 5 months of these, he gets an idea.  The next day, the teacher says, "Ok, class, its time for the leaving early question."

At this point, Jimmy takes a couple of dark-colored marbles and secretly rolls them so they bounce off the walls and nearly trips up the teacher.

Infuriated, she yells out, "All right, who's the comedian with the black balls?".

Quickly raising his hand, Jimmy says, "Eddie Murphy.  Later, teach!".

5. Who introduced you to the idea of joining a Lundegaard guild?

I couldn't begin to remember any specifics...after a while, things just come across as "well, it was always like that, wasn't it", in spite of knowing that everything has a beginning...

Best guess, I think it was the Lars booth @ CRF, my first invasion ('98), that I saw the pins.  I looked up the site the next year, and was a Merc by the time MDRF started the next year.  So you could probably blame [livejournal.com profile] wench18, whom I met @ the MDRF invasion dinner '98, then [livejournal.com profile] celtink whom I'd met at the CRF invasion, those being the first Tux wenches I'd meet.  But it would have happened eventually.

How do you pronounce Acroyear? AK-ro-yeer, a-KROY-er, or something else?
