aside from the greeks first and the host country last (which i think the greeks will be last anyways, but i missed the beginning), the nations process in alphabetical order, using the alphabet of the host nation.
normally, with western countries, that's meant something darn close to the american spellings, with a few exceptions (like we come in on "e" as "estates" in french).
however, with the greek alphabet, C and K are both K, and I and J are both I, so the alphabetical ordering really gets screwy, were cambodia and camaroon are among kamchatca, and Jordan and India are next to each other.

update question -- montreal hosted the games once, right? when they processed, did they use the french or the english spellings of the nations?
