...and how they're already putting up reviews of Edwards' speech 2 hours before he's even gotten to the podium. this whole idea that its not even good enough to be "in the moment", but that to stay on top economically, one has to be hours *ahead* of the moment.

i don't know, just seems to ruin it all IMHO...

we're not that far away from some network making deals with terrorists to get exclusive coverage before it happens, a-la Max Headroom...

Max Headroom...man. To quote Jerry Garcia; "What a looooong strange trip it's been". It's amazing, frankly, how forward thinking that show really was. I would not at all be surprised to find more and more things like you describe actually happening...and more and more people going "off paper" (becoming "blanks") because of it all.

Damn...scary stuff. Where is Matt Frewer when you need him?
