But wait, Mad Biologist, this is just about the illegal recording of private events, isn't it?Or maybe cops might carry a device like this in their car and trigger it when they decide to pull someone over so their possibly illegal actions can't be recorded?
Well, how long do you think it will be before your friendly local government decides to buy some of these things and flash them around political demonstrations? Maybe add some extra 'functionality' too, like shutting down the phone entirely or Teh Twitterz.

Date: 2011-06-25 06:00 pm (UTC)Personally, I never really understood the idea of how a relatively poor recording on a cell phone should be a threat to any band or promoter, when putting out a professional product will probably always be superior. It is the guys with the high quality camcorders and mic rigs that they really should be looking out for.
