based on information from this article, it's not an overwhelming surprise. Two notes in particular stand out: Harry Potter is on par with the Order of the Phoenix, and 75% of the G-force crowd was parents with kids. Harry Potter has, in the recent movies, gotten too dark for many youngsters (as it should be, I think), which means the tweens are finding something else to watch. Add to this two other notes: First weekend Harry Potter included a G-Force preview, and second, that preview included the words, "poop in his hand! poop in his hand!" and it's not surprising that G-force has done well.
