We'll see you @ Bogfest
Date: 2009-05-02 11:54 pm (UTC)Re: We'll see you @ Bogfest
Date: 2009-05-03 12:48 am (UTC)We're at the Courtyard Marriott Anaheim (just around the corner from the convention center) for Disney (we're going down there after RPFS on the 10th, though dinner on the 10th can be either up near site or down by Disney, whatever works for whomever; since we're seeing you Saturday and maybe Monday, we'll see about meeting up with others or maybe playing social with the Danse Macabre group on that night). We're staying there 'to the morning of the 12th, so we were thinking dinner @ Downtown Disney (or maybe Napa Rose) after the parks close.
I do have a "checklist" for Disney, of course:
* Nemo Submarines (since it's new)
* Space Mountain (since it's different from FL)
* Pirates (since it's changed since I last saw it, though I've seen the Capt. Jack additions to Florida)
* Mansion (since it's changed since I last saw it, though I've seen (and heard) the new additions in Florida)
* Mr. Toad (since it remains my all-time fav ride)
we'll still be on East-Coast time so we can actually be there right at gate opening (not that being on East-Coast time ever got us to RPFS's gate back in the golden age of invasions, but there you go...)
and at DCA:
* Toy Story Midway Mania (new)
* Cyd likely wants Tower of Terror (I'll hang out at the animation building lobby)
* California Screamin' (though it's not as "pretty" as it was given the rest of Paradise Pier and the lake's construction)
and I definitely want to take some photos of some of the nicer parts of the gate area before it all gets ripped up for the new "Hollywood as Disney First Saw It" remake, especially the north/south murals. lunch will very likely be on the DCA side of things, or the first thing we do when crossing back into the Disneyland park. we'll likely have "eaten well" for breakfast.

Date: 2009-05-03 01:15 am (UTC)I will confirm gatelist for RPFS by Monday and give you a call. For RPFS on Sunday, we may have to leave early and go to my Mom's since it is Mother's day and such, but I will know that when the day get closer.
Regarding Disney, Kel really likes to be there right at opening (which we do not always seem to do either ) so we could do one of 2 two things:
1. Since we have free parking we could pick you guys up at your hotel and go over together...
OR
2. Perhaps just meet right inside the gates as close to opening as you guys want to try.
Your checklist is a definite go for us too and Kel can stay with you in Animation and I can go with Cyd on Terror - Kelly will not go since her 1st and only time in Florida.
Let me know if you need anything picked up locally. I left a message with our cell #s
See you Saturday!

Date: 2009-05-03 06:07 am (UTC)Picking us up and going there means we have to get our asses out of bed 'cause we're on a schedule. This is probably not a bad thing. :)
