i'm gonna go back into hiding from the tv now.

btw, you know this kinda crap is new when Octuplet and Septuplet are NOT in my spell-check dictionary, even though Sextuplet and Quintuplet are (and oddly, were offered as alternative spellings to those other two...).

I'm just stunned that anyone with two-year-old twins would want more kids to deal with, let alone eight at once. Especially with no spouse to help.
Having one two-year-old, and no other children, I tell you, he's fully capable of wearing two parents out All By Himself. In one evening.

I personally stopped caring about .0043 seconds after the first words registered in my ear. I think it's irresponsible and selfish of anyone to have that many children - especially when they have no means of support. But it's not even a matter of being able to support them. Even if you do have means of support there are still over six billion people on this planet. Each one requires water and food and other necessessities even when they CAN pay for them. Every drop of water these people soak up is one less drop an equally deserving person somewhere else has to suffer without. Every morsel of food they eat is one more morsel someone else has to do without. Every exhalation of co2 these kids breath out is one less breath of air the rest of us have. The kids didn't ask to bet here, so I can't blame them. But the idiot doctor and this idiot woman are certainly old enough to be responsible for their actions and they weren't.

Ultimately i'm sure bullshit reality shows like "John & Kate + 8" and the Duggars didn't help either. Popularizing and normalizing that sort of thing is bad in the long term. Before anyone starts telling me about how "People used to have big families" I don't want to hear it. People had big families because a large portion of the offspring would -die- and because religion and societal pressure demanded it. But even then, it was still a bad idea. How many millions more need to keep suffering for nonsense like this? We can't feed, clothe, house and water for the people we have now we don't need someone pumping out kids like they're a pezz dispenser.

But really, it's not even on my radar. Whenever that woman comes on the channel I change it. So if she's relying on advertising dollars she's not getting any from me.
