Aladin has been given the go-ahead and the PR is in motion for it to join Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and Lion King, as part of the annual "Platinum Series" of DVDs.

All good and well.

Except not a single news story has gotten that list right. Two have left off Beauty entirely, with one of them replacing it with "Alice in Wonderland" which is not part of that series of releases.

*sigh*

How hard is it for the media to check their facts before going to print?

yeah, the tin-box set got bumped up to may 31 instead of in time for christmas. not sure why. i'm more interested in the "disney goes to war" one, as I described earlier...

I do recall Slim Goodbody, as after some time as an independent he got contracted to contribute segments to the late-70s Captain Kangaroo in its final CBS years (also the years of Cosby doing Picture Pages). When PBS picked up CK, Slim's stuff didn't make the transition; I know his stuff today shows up on rare occasions as filler for kids programming in some places, but I don't watch enough kids stuff to notice.
