here it is, for decades we say that we don't want to be sold to, that we have better things to do with our time than endure the endless commercials that dominate our society at the expense of real culture, that we really are in a quest for something real to hold onto in our lives and not the fleeting fasions and fads destined for obscurity until vh-1 comes up with "i *heart* pretty much everything that didn't come out last week"...

...or we don't.

The fact that the #1 rated television program each year has most of its audience watching for the commercials is a really sad indicator of the hell that our society has become.

i had the game on, but i didn't really see any noteworthy commercials anyway. a couple cute ones, most were just annoying as usual. i wasn't watching though. i wasn't even interested in the game OR the commercials. i was trying to figure out if we were winning any money in our office pool. which we didn't. (drat.)
