Thank you for posting this, we're studying Rome in World Civ class and the likelihood of me ever getting there is nil. This is the next best thing!

click the album for the rest of the collection (so far) on picassa.

there's still 5 more sets of Rome to go through (the Archeology museum, part 2 of villa borghese along with piazza del popolo, piazza navona, the vatican (that's gonna be a big one), and night shots along the Tiber). of those 5, only the museum is "ancient rome". most of the rest are medieval or renaissance originated.

THEN i can finally get to Venice (Florence and Tuscany are already done).

any questions on what you see, feel free to ask. i have the books for most of the sights at home, including details on the artworks and archeology finds...plus I took 3 years of latin in high school :)

Ooooo you took Latin???? I may pick your brain next semester since I am taking beginning Latin and have very little clue about the language. I knew I had to take it though since it is the cradle of language. Also I am double majoring in History and English in hopes of either working in a museum, library or hunting up mummies in Egypt. (Seriously, I'm already saving to go there when the tensions cease)
