Political Radar: Palin Fears Media Threaten Her First Amendment Rights:
Palin told WMAL-AM that her criticism of Obama's associations, like those with 1960s radical Bill Ayers and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, should not be considered negative attacks. Rather, for reporters or columnists to suggest that it is going negative may constitute an attack that threatens a candidate's free speech rights under the Constitution, Palin said.

"If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations," Palin told host Chris Plante, "then I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media."
Well, I worry about two things.
  1. That she doesn't have the education of a high school graduate on what the First Amendment really means.

    or...

  2. That she does, because the average high school graduate doesn't know shit about the Constitution.

I object to her objection!

Two can play at that game. I would say that her objecting to me objecting to her negative campaigning is a violation of my freedom of expression, and then ask that she read this constitution that she's clearly failed to understand on soooooo many levels.

After 9/11, I remember many people being bullied into quiet because their "objections" to the Bush Administration was hailed as unpatriotic rather than voicing their opinion. Palin clearly only wants the freedom to apply to her, but clearly to no one else. I guess she's just "more equal" than the rest of us.
