finally getting over it...

I just managed to get through the DVD of Big Country's Without the Aid of a Safety Net (Glagsow December 1993, 2 months after I saw them live at the Bayou on Halloween) without getting terribly depressed.  The songs were what they always were: simply great.

I need to find a source for their 25th anniversary concert album from the other three members.  Reviews have been good so I've read.

A few years ago, I was at the Alexandria games dancing to The Glengarry Bhoys when I noticed myself singing along. This was the first time I'd seen or really heard the Bhoys so I wondered why I knew the songs. They were doing a cover of "Big Country" and I then I realised that the kids from my dance school that I was dancing around with weren't even born when that song came out. Then I felt old. Le sigh.
