Hasbro Gives Clue Board Game A Makeover : NPR:

The much-beloved murder mystery game Clue is getting a makeover. It's been on the shelves for 60 years, but game maker Hasbro has redesigned the game for a modern audience.

*sigh* ... quit taking my childhood (and a cute movie) and ruining with this modernization crap...

I have this replay in my head of Tim Curry running madly about as Wadsworth, explaining all the murders in the first ending. Manic fun.

I think I played the game a grand total of twice in my lifetime, but it was fun.

There have been a few attempts to update Clue. Actually, Clue FX eliminated some of the more annoying aspects of the original and is a nifty version, even if it was too expensive. (I found a copy at a thrift store for $2.)

Not a whole lot of details in that article about what it is going to be like, but I hope they have and aspect where whoever the murderer is knows that they are the murderer and have the ability to misdirect.
