The "you must register your cell phone on the do not call registry or the telemarketers will get it and you'll have to pay for their calls to you" email is STILL going around, even though the FTC debunked it 3 years ago.

Every reference to a hard date has been removed in the latest version making the rounds, which now is guaranteeing its rapid distribution by saying it all goes on line "tomorrow"!

*sigh*

You know, it would make a fascinating study of "selection" for a biology class to watch the evolution of these urban legends by the changes made in order to win over a whole new credulous pocket of netizens...

(yeah, its a one-hour song, so what)

Well, you COULD just list what part of the song you are on. I mean, it is divided into 18 tracks...

not on my copy - i ran it through a wav joiner before converting to mp3 to get one that's in one piece 'cause i *hate* it when "shuffle" breaks in the middle of it.

on cd, in sequence, in the car, i want the breaks in order to restore near where i was if i got interrupted.

on mp3, in shuffle, at the office, i want no breaks in any pieces at all.

I get about 2 a month that have been floating around for in one case almost 10 years. I mostly get them from the middle school kids that I work with at Synergy One. First thing I do is hop over to urbanlegends@about.com and find it get the story and then I reply all back to them about always check the site, etc.etc.

Then I get an email from one of their friends with a "who are you strange adult person"
