...'cause I don't care if he's picky on spelling or plurals, i'm not.

mind you, there are also a few (cutting crew, e.g.) where the lyric is in the list of most misunderstood lyrics, plus the 70s tracks (including mtv's first video ever, which was originally recorded/filmed in 1979) are a bit out.

now if he really wanted obscure, there's the key largo song, eddie rabbit and juice newton's crossover country hits, dexy's midnite runners, gothic-newwave like the damned ("i'm in love with a ..."), big country, lesser hall & oats hits, better van halen songs, the theme from the young ones, planet p, asia, pete townshend's solo stuff, chris de burgh, dream acadamy more one hit wonders (in the states anyways) like kajagoogoo (could anybody actually recite a complete line from the never ending story theme song?), flock of seaguls, & a-ha, arena-rock ballads like from journey, styx, boston, & reo speedwagon, or, well, lots of stuff. like frankie! how could he have missed frankie??? ;-)

damn the 80s were decent. just really goes to show how much the 90s sucked big time, and the current decade has had absolutely nothing going for it whatsoever.

oh, i've found plenty of stuff, thanks to dedicated labels. indie in appearance, but not "indie" music in the same sense (indie itself became a label for a particular type or set of sounds).

Most of the 90s were spent building up the celtic collection for me.

Most of the time since 99 has been spent building up the modern prog-rock scene, with bands like Dream Theater, Spock's Beard, The Flower Kings, Ayreon, Steve Hackett, more Marillion, more King Crimson (the last three have been making a point of releasing archive concerts in limited releases).

But generally, as with most people who used to spend $40/month on cd's, i noted the amount of crapola coming from the riaa and switched my spending to dvds instead.
