[livejournal.com profile] faireraven came up with a cool idea for getting the last bits of crystalized honey off the sides of the jar after you've gone through everything else. Make yourself some tea or coffee, then instead of pouring the water/coffee into the mug, pour it into the honey jar first. Let it sit for a bit melting it off, then (carefully, the glass gets hotter than ceramic would) pour the water/coffee into the mug.

Thanks for the idea! Always wondered what I could do to use that up!

I've always done that with just a bit of hot water (cooler than you'd use to make tea), then made my tea a tad stronger than usual and added the honey water to it. Tea comes out better that way, and it doesn't take much hot water to dissolve what's left even on a fairly large bottle of honey (*g* The big bottles I use for sweetening the ice tea, which can take more additional water)
