Not many of the moves the Orioles have made since firing Davey Johnson have made much sense. Course, I pretty much stopped following the O's after that, since that was the biggest dumbshit move that Angelos made. Ironically, the rumor that has been going around is that Angelos wants to bring back Davey Johnson. Never mind that this team is a shadow of what he had when he was here...
I never really liked the midseason firing move. To me, that's the FO telling the players that the season is over, even with half the season left. It almost never improves morale or production and just guarantees that the team will sink into the crapper.
