stupid candy makers...

i it hate when candy makers change the flavors to things that suck, all the while keeping the same colors, so your brain and tastebuds to the pavlov thing in seeing the color of a flavor you love, then grotesquely get really annoyed when its not that flavor at all...

case in point: bottlecaps. The reds are no longer cherry soda. They're strawberry soda. yuck.

The last time it happened to me was when giant sweetarts switched their yellow from lemon to banana. didn't buy any for 3 years...

bleh.

Don't even talk to me about goodnfruitys... I used to LOVE them as a kid. Then they changed their formulation around entirely, adn instead of being a candy shell around a piece of red licorice, it's now some kind of gooey super-sweet-knock-your-head-off inside... But still has the same candy shell. Looks almost identical. But the taste is just completely different...

Do you mean "Good & Plenty"? Still exists, still has licorice. "Good 'N Fruity" was (apparently) a short-lived sister product to the licorice candy. Odd that one uses "&" and the other "'N" doncha think? Both are Hersheys products.

Good N Fruity was around for YEARS as the fruit-flavored candy-coated red licorice pieces... Good&Plenty still exists with black licorice center. Only thing is, I hate black licorice. I always liked red licorice. And then they changed the formula so the center part wasn't red licorice anymore, but some funky gummy stuff, and SUPER sweet. Feh. I havne't eaten them since. The good hing about the goodnfruitys used to be that they were sweet, but not overpoweringly so. When they changed the formula, they lost my business.

Oh, the hardships of life. The things you must suffer through. Next you'll whine that as a kid you actually had to touch the TV to change the channel.

well, only until my brother got old enough to walk up and change it
for me. besides, with 90 minutes of bugs bunny on CBS every saturday,
who needed to change the channel?

that lasted, of course, until he got old enough to go "no, jerkoff,
change it yourself"...by which time, of course, we had remote controls...

....i was going to report that the same thing happened to me with my very most favoritest flavored *tea* just last year......


... but that would sound way to *ew* grown up in the middle of this particular conversation, so i just won't mention it.
