Just outof curiosity, is that ticket sales, or are we fairever pass folk included as well? I know with tickets they have somehting to count, but we just get some girl to marker our card and they keep going.
hmmm... it seemed to be much higher, especially referencing the parking. Granted, with the new "lanes" they've marked into the grass, they don't park the cars as close any more (good thing, too!) so that could have thrown me off.
they weren't *ALL* that way. the nice (???) thing about 24,000 is that no matter WHAT you do, it seems like you can see nothing but drunks abound being jerks about it.
but on the other hand, the nice (!!!) thing about 24,000 is that no matter WHAT you do, it can also seem like you have no shortage of nice, thankful people appreciating what you do and how you do it.
i've had this discussion before with i_kissandra. there's a strong level of seeing what you expect to see on the busy days.
I'm pretty sure I wasn't expecting a bus load of college kids being rude and mad at me because they had spent 4 hours in traffic on a school bus drinking. We tried to be nice, but geeze. It was like since we were the first booth they came to, they took it out on us. Not cool.
oh, YOU got hit by the same drunken jackasses of last year's "singles" day.
in that case, i hearby retract my skepticism and apologize that you couldn't see the brighter spots of the faire that we saw under the crowded conditions...
Yes, it was them. Jaki was even worried that someone was going to pee in our booth again. She actually saw the bus and came to check on us. We need to find out who that group is and not let them back. At least in group form.
Bah, humbug. Idiot parking us down in Performers' in the morning on Sunday insisted I park jousters in. (Only reason I gave in was because a jouster *told* me to just forget it and park where I was told... though I did notice that a few cars just a bit over left early... and I was told that a few of them *did* have trouble jockeying to get out)
I suspect that he did the same close parking elsewhere as well, as they only stay down there until most of us are supposed to be in, then they go elsewhere to work.
