...'cause magically this morning, the phones started working.

So out of 5 problems in 3 days, 2 are fixed (computer and phone).  3 to go (my future car, cyd's car fixes, cyd's job).

Car may be handled by a loaner from the inlaws, though that leaves us with a couple of bureaucratic visits to the DMV and maybe Loudoun taxation...and a long drive up (in cyd's car) to get it.

it doesn't have a cd and the tape deck may be hosed enough to not work with those cassette adapters so i gotta remember to get a transmitter.  in the long term i may have to look at getting my own ipod-type-thingy.

anybody know where i can get a low-end ipod on the cheap?  not a "nano" - those things are a waste of money (4 gig for 150 or 20 gig for 200, you tell me what's the bargain...).

not sure what to do 'bout the satelite tv, as it doesn't seem to be a problem at all when I'm home...I'm wondering if we're getting oddball interference from the nearby road construction project.

[livejournal.com profile] faireraven 's a tv watcher, or more a "tv just hanging in the background" person.  I can't stand daytime tv, so I'd be on the marathon dvd viewings in a second if I actually had the time off...

...well, I'd better stop blogging and get back to work before I suddenly DO have that time off... :)

A friend of mine has had his Ipod replaced like 3 times in the past year or two. While the Ipod does have the best interface, I love my Creative Labs mp3 player.
