[X] I remember when the only anime show you could watch was Robotech. (actually at the time it competed with voltron, and speed racer, star blazers, and battle of the planets were shows i watched before that).

atari never left. they've been in somewhat limited markets (arcade vid-games, pc games) which keeps attention down. stock's circled low but steady. every so often they get a boost from the retro market; their latest big offering is a for-the-home (or small business) arcade console that has some 25 of their original arcade classics. in smaller circles they have a total retro 2600 console with some 22 games embedded. for the tiny circles you can buy a single joystick that happens to have 10 games built in. moore's law in action.

i've followed them for quite a few decades now.

I've had my eye on this: stock certificate was for unregistered stock for 100,000 shares made out to Jack Tramiel dated June 1987 (http://www.scripophily.net/atcorstocmad.html) on scripophily for a couple of years.
