Naturally, the news won't report on anything until there's controversy (ooohh).

but a report on how things are going in the Caribean says that there won't just be one, but *two* Pirates of the Caribean sequels, due out in 2006 and 2007.  They're filming back to back the way Back to the Future and Matrix were done.

Actually, they announced last year when they mentioned the casting (Keith Richards as Jack Sparrow's dad) that they were going to shoot two sequels at the same time and release them in subsequent years...
