Or, at the very least, unclear on the obvious pop culture reference. It is bad enough that someone actually had the idea to make candles that smell like Jesus Christ, but nobody with any familiarity at all with the film Dr. Strangelove would ever call those candles "His Essence."

I don't mind the concept of those specific scents put together in a candle -- in fact, it sounds very nice. But identifying it with Jesus seems an awful lot like pimping Him out. NOT a very respectful thing to do in my book -- in fact, it makes me think of the New Testament passages in which Jesus cleared the merchants out of the temple.

Blimey, they could have called it "Faith" or "Holy Lands" or something.
