from the "fat lot of good THAT does me" department...

I just got an offer for "double miles" when I use my airline-rewards credit card (not naming names online) at particular restaurants, and those three happen to be...

• Bennigans
• Ponderosa
• Steak and Ale

*sigh*

I'd eat at all three...if any still existed in the DC area.  All but 3 Bennigans in DC have disappeared in the last 4 years, including the one in Fair Oaks mall (there's not a decent mid-range place in that mall left except maybe Uno), Ponderosa has NEVER been here (and all the ones I knew including the one I used to work at down in the Shenandoah Valley are gone), and the last Steak and Ale is now a commuter parking lot in Alexandria off 395.

So, well, yeah, the offer kinda is useless to me...
