acroyear: (this is art?)
There's a chap out there in one of the 20-something Disney-related blogs I read regularly, who's a photoshop genius type who has been playing with taking scenes from Disney and other animated films and, by combining frames so that every part of the background can be seen at least once, reassembling digitally the incredible artwork behind our favorite characters.

Some highlights:
Jungle Book

Maurice Noble's Road Runner (the early years, before he got too abstract)

the long (and I mean LONG) pan in Popeye meets Sinbad the Sailor

Alice in Wonderland, driven by the color stylings of the great Mary Blair

Feel free to check it out - each image links to a larger version many of which can be useful for your own desktop backgrounds if you like...
