i have never had a job where i got this day off, nor was it a day off from school (either high school when the holiday was enacted, or college). to me, this has never been a holiday, ever.

for that matter my current job, while having great benefits in so many other places, has the worst holiday schedule of any I've been in. 7 holidays (ny, memorial, july 4, labor, t-giving + friday, christmas day) plus one floater, that's it.

Heh, now i *know* i'm old...

This week marks the 10th anniversary of the first time I danced with the Foggy Bottom Morris Men.

Resistance is Futile...ok, maybe it isn't...

Darn flu bugs.  They're now immune to two anti-virals that were most commonly prescribed against it.  One commentator thinks that a reason may be the drugs' overuse in countries that don't require a prescription for them.
