Maybe the wonder is that more games don't end in riots. Given the provocative context of a culture in which the vice president says he feels better after he's told a U.S. senator to f--- himself and the president urges Iraq's insurgents to "bring it on," maybe we should be encouraged that so many people -- players, fans and everybody else -- so often manage civility.
