It's the third annual 4th of July BBQ/SnB at Cyd and Joe's house!!! :)

First, we have the Stitchnbitch! Bring your machines, your patterns, your fabric, your stitched up messes yearning to breathe free... :) Remember, this is the PERFECT time to be making your costumes for the MS Fantasy Ball (http://www.MSFantasyBall.com), and we can help you with any costuming issues and ideas you might have!

We also have a Pampered Chef for MS show! A portion of the profits is being donated to the MS Challenge Walk! Anyone who has been interested in making their cooking lives easier, and in helping to sponsor the MS Challenge Walk, please come on Saturday, we'll be doing a show at 1pm as part of lunch! Details will also be announced as the time approaches!

We're also hosting a barbeque as part of the stitchnbitch! The grill will be up on Sunday as a 4th of july celebration! So bring some potluck and anything you'd like to see thrown on the grill!!! We've got some burgers and hotdogs already, so just bring some sides!

Rogues and Mercs welcome as well! Joe will be setting up the man-cave as a "no fabric zone", so any of the guys who want to come by and discuss scotch and/or any other non-fabric activity, feel free! (note to guys: Leather is not fabric, so leathercraft is free to enter the man-cave).

Plenty of space to crash, so let me know, and we'll see how many beds we can have set up! Floor space everywhere, and we've got beds for at least five people, so first come first served!

People are welcome to start showing up at Noon on Saturday, July 3, and we'll be open until Noon on Monday! Anyone left after Noon on Monday will be thereby conscripted to help clean… ;) Fabric and craft stores alike are both just around the corner (G-Street and Jo-Ann's within spitting distance, and having sales!), and if we find out anything about local fireworks, we may have a group outing to head there!

Bring your stitching, bring your bitching, and bring yourselves!!! :) Please let me know via comments or email if you'll be coming, which days (so we can take food into account), and if you'll be staying the night!

If you need directions, drop me an email or comment with an address to respond to... See you soon!

1) The men will be expected to help cook out on the grill July 4th. I haven't decided what's up for July 3rd.

2) The G-Street is having a big sale throughout the weekend, so fabric-runs are to be expected. however, lets all try not to spend so much time in the stores that nobody makes anything ;-)

3) Geeks, we do have a wireless (80211b) 'net in the house, so if you feel the need to drag the laptop around for a quick email & lj-friends check, we can oblige.

4) bringing additional beverages is nice, but if it ain't something we drink (diet drinks, "zima"-type non-beers, cider), expect to take any leftovers back home with you or look for volunteers to take it off your hands.

5) 2 cats. 4 rabbits. at least 1 baby. allergists, be prepared. cats will spend most of the daytime locked in their room and mad at us.

6) There is NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.........rule number 6.

7) I'd rather not have our own fireworks show on the 4th. Between the neighbors and the shows on TV, that should be enough. Those who want to take off for something big "in person", I'll see where Sterling and Herndon are having their shows.

8) leather and small cross-stitch projects are allowed in the man-cave.

I found a great seamstress! Really good, talented Lady...unfortunately, she's also come up missing. Not surprising, really, she's up and coming in the industry (theatrical costumery...has a degree in it and everything).

However, that leaves me with yards and yards of fabric, no new garb, and no one to sew it for me.

So, if there are any good seamtresses/tailor types in the DC area who want to earn some $$$, let me know. e-mail me at pyratepegtoo at aol dot com.
