acroyearFor the first time I can recall (but even that might be a tainted phrase), I read something again for the first time. As in, with every page I read, I realized I had actually read it before, only I had no recollection of it until it happened; I had no idea what the next page was going to say.
Mind you, it was ST:TNG -- Q Squared (Peter David), all about alternate realities and the like, so I may have just been living in the book for a bit, but still, it was really odd. I read the book before; I knew I'd read the book before (upon reading it again), and yet I still had no idea how it was going to end, or even what the next chapter would bring...
go fig.
sometimes I wish there was a way to do that with music, but my aural melodic memory's too good. It happens on occasion, and is a wonderous experience, but its all too rare.
