our various shower and sink faucets are all set up so that they don't totally eliminate putting cold water into the mix, even if set all the way to hot.  fine in the summer, but in the winter, the cold water is *so* cold (even given the 50+ degree days this month) that even an all-the-way "hot" shower is barely more than luke-warm.

so I finally did what i was never allowed to do in my parents house when i last had this problem 20 years ago:  I adjusted the thermostat of the water heater.

and it was good.

some days its just the little things.

Some days it really is the little things in life that make it all worthwhile. I have a shelf in the kitchen just for wine glasses now. That makes me so damned happy.

You aint just whistling Dixie.

I don't think it's possible to truly appreciate a hot shower until one is bereft of one in the Winter. Nothing says "aaaaahhhh" like hot water rolling down cold skin.

Now, if someone would just invent something to make for a more comfortable transition from hot, steamy bathroom air to cold, unforgiving bedroom air.
