Bach's Tocatta & Fuge in D Minor (Fantasia 1984 version)
Sorceror's Apprentice (Fantasia 1984 version)

Beethovan's 5th, movement 1 (Fantasia 2000 version)

Pink Floyd: Careful with that Axe Eugene (Pompeii version)
Pink Floyd: One of these Days (1994 tour, Pulse videotape)

Peter Gabriel: 2 tracks from "Passion"

Alice Cooper: Welcome to my Nightmare
Weird Al's Nature Trail to Hell

Theme from The Prisoner

Mars and Jupiter from Holst's The Planets

And finally, What's Opera Doc from Bugs on Broadway!

best part was during Alice Cooper, when the parents said they'd just shown the kids Alice's appearance on The Muppet Show on TV during dinner :) :) :)

not bad, but 90 minutes was all we had...short night tonite.

*sigh*

sad, given the great weather we had...

I absolutely LOVE when Alice and Miss Piggy sing "Only Women Bleed." That is one of my favorite Muppet Show episodes. One of my other favorites is when Vincent Price was on the show. I have a t-shirt with Vincent and Kermit with vampire teeth. :)

I need to get the Muppet Show DVD box set... hmmm.... maybe Santa will bring that this year, Santa wants the Star Wars Triolgy on DVD, I'll have to strike a deal with him. :)

actually, they did "you and me", not "only women bleed". I seriously doubt the latter could ever have been done on network tv, especially a kids show, back in the day.

But "The Muppet Show" wasn't really a kids show. It was prime time (8 or 9 o'clock viewing audience), and more edgy than they could have gotten away with on it's daytime sibling that was for kids, "Sesame Street".

Still...this *is* the 70's we're talking about, and what they could get away with on prime time then is so not what they are doing now.

The Pompeii version of ANYTHING Floyd absolutely rocks. Good choice!

(Come back Roger Waters, all is forgiven)

just to mention, the context of this is that I set up hidden speakers outside the house and play DJ with haunted music-type stuffs for the kids. its something I inherited from my father who does it too.

as for Waters? well, actually, Waters has had friendly meetings with both Wright and Mason, and now its Gilmour who doesn't want to do anything Floydish anymore. Gilmour's attitude now is that basically if he were to do Floyd again, it would be strictly for the money, and he's got enough money as it is.

But Waters has reconciled with Mason, and somewhat with Wright at this point, though no party is really talking reunion at all. The nature of the 1987 settlement probably doesn't give Waters the right to tour as the floyd if the other two members decided to support it, though I doubt Waters would ever work with Wright professionally again in any case.
