Now that's a bet I wouldn't take in a million years... :) It could be Tubular Bells II, or something. ;)

However, I can also almost guarantee that at least part of the collection is either King Crimson or Marillion... :)

in my mind, Crimson yes, Marillion no. Marillion never actually made any instrumentals. Though you're also right in that TB-1 wasn't one of the things I was thinking of.

but they could have also been celtic music, or 80s new age, or 70s new age (tangerine dream), or steve hackett, or steve howe, or all sorts of things like Trey Gunn, Tony Levin, or certainly any of ozric tentacles, some zappa, some dixie dregs, some california guitar trio, or all sorts of things involving orchestras (soundtracks or classical music)...

but in actuality? trick question. the only thing on my mp3 player right now is allan holdsworth, all fusion guitar, all the time. its one of those kinda days.
