Hah -- Doonesbury hit on Kerry, 32 Years ago!

Here's the three, all in reference to his discarding of his medals awarded during that time.

I mean, yeah the republicans are trying to use that event as saying Kerry really wasn't "in" Nam, but they miss the real point of Kerry's patriotism.

He was called upon to serve his country.

He did so.

He didn't like what he had to do while over there.

He used his constitutionally protected right to freedom of speach upon his return to the states to say so.

What could be more patriotic than that?

And unlike the smoke and mirrors of Bush's time in the guard in alabama, what could be more honest?

Then again, if we wanted "honesty" in politics, Dole would have beaten Clinton 8 years ago. As Carlin pointed out, Dole said "Vote for me, I'm an honest guy" and we all went "Bullshit!"; Clinton said "Vote for me, I'm full of shit" and we all went "hey, well at least he's honest!"
