Actually, that is one of my fondest memories at faire: everyone was dancing around the small graveled area at the Boar's Head during Pub Sing. People were laughing like it was $100 bills falling from the sky instead of rain. And, even with everyone being soaked utterly to the bone, everyone was hugging everyone else.

Oh, and you could actually hear an unmiked Pub Sing back then too. Everyone sung along or kept their voices lowered.

*sigh*

Nostalgia is like a fine wine you've sampled once and never been able to find a match since.

I think that is the year that the joust field was soup and the rain pelting down splashed about 2 feet into the air. Fortunately, it was reasonably warm. 3" deep streams are NOT fun when it is cold.
